Answered Prayers

We've received news that Pastor Mary's uncle (Mr Lim) who has liver cirrhosis is doing very well now. The complications that threatened his life at one stage have been eliminated and his whole family has been greatly encouraged! Let's praise the Lord for his loving grace and press in to ask for complete healing.

Joselyn's Vision while worshipping recently

While I was worshipping, I saw a beautiful picture of a vast crop of sunflowers in full bloom. There was a midday sun set in a blue sky speckled with fluffs of white clouds and most of the sunflowers were facing the sun. It was a beautiful and cheerful scene.

I recalled that during the budding stage, sunflowers will always face the east in the morning and tilt towards the sun as it moves throughout the day. They are always looking at the sun, and one will find them facing westward at dusk. Amazingly, God has created them to turn back to face the rising sun the following morning. God's creation is just so wonderful and it is a feast to our eyes to enjoy the beauty of His creation.

The sunflowers I saw in the vision exude a radiance as the sun shines on them, they reflected the glory of the sun. So, we as God's precious creation should in the same way look heavenward all the time, that we may seek God daily and in so doing, reflect His glory in our lives. As we fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus, we will be transformed and a new radiance from His righteousness will clothe us. I am also reminded that we are created to worship God, we are made to seek Him constantly (just like the sunflowers) that we may bear witness to him and fruits of abundance in our lifetime.

The sunflower plant is a very useful crop, they are cultivated for the flower industry as well as for food, in the form of sunflower seeds (for snacks) and sunflower oil. Won't it please our Heavenly Father if we come to Him constantly with adoration and allowing Him free reign in our lives that we may bear fruits in His kingdom? As we bless God, we will also be a blessing to those who are looking at our lives, maybe they will be inspired and follow our gaze to find the source of our strength and our beauty.

So, my response to God is: Yes, I want to be the sunflower that You have created me to be, please make me bright and cheery, basking constantly in Your presence!

What about you, my friend?
